Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
Draft: this policy will be finalised before the store opens.
This explains what Eclipsion Studios collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We don't sell your data, and the site has no ads or tracking.
What we collect
| When | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You sign in with Steam | Your Steam ID, and from your public Steam profile: your name, avatar and when your Steam account was created. We keep earlier Steam names you've used here. | Your account, and your card if you choose to appear on the Members page. |
| You stay signed in | A session cookie, plus the IP address and browser name the session started from. | Keeping you signed in, and spotting misuse of an account. |
| You buy something | Your email address, what you bought and when, and PayPal's order and payment references. | Delivering your licence, receipts, refunds, disputes and tax records. |
| Your server uses a licence | The server's address, name, map, player count and product version, and when it checked in. | Checking the licence, the offline grace period, and evidence that a product was delivered and used. |
| The presence check | Whether an owner or operator on that licence's team was on the server, and when. | Spotting leaked keys. We never collect the Steam IDs of other players on your server. |
| You download a product | Which file, when, and the IP address. | Security, and evidence in disputes. |
We don't ask for or store passwords: Steam handles sign-in, and PayPal handles payment details.
Cookies
One cookie: es_session, which keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It's essential, used only by this site, and holds no personal information (just a random token). There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
Who else handles data
- Cloudflare hosts this site and its database.
- Steam (Valve) handles sign-in.
- PayPal handles payments, under its own privacy policy.
- Google Fonts serves one of the site's fonts, so your browser connects to Google when pages load.
The Members page
Customers appear on the public Members page only if they turn it on in their account, and can turn it off at any time. It shows your Steam name, avatar, when you joined, when your Steam account was created, and badges for what you own. Eclipsion Studios staff are always listed.
How long we keep it
- Sessions: until you sign out, or 30 days.
- Your account: while you have one.
- Orders, licences and their records: as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, and while a licence is in use.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, get a copy, or have your account deleted. Some records, such as orders, we may have to keep for legal reasons even after deleting your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The store is not for children under 13, the minimum age for a Steam account.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top, and tell signed-in customers about significant changes.
