Terms of Service

Draft: these terms will be finalised before the store opens. If anything here matters to a decision you're making, ask us first.
These terms cover your Eclipsion Studios account, buying our products, and using them on your servers. By signing in or buying, you agree to them.
1. Your account
- You sign in with your Steam account. Keep it secure: anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
- One account per person. You must be old enough to have a Steam account where you live (at least 13).
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing licence keys or abusing other members.
2. What you're buying: a licence
- Buying a product gives you a licence to use it, not ownership of the product. The products stay ours.
- A standard licence covers one Garry's Mod server. An enterprise licence covers up to 3 servers; more by written agreement with us.
- You may change the configuration and adapt the products for your own servers.
- You may not resell, share, give away, leak or publish the products or your licence key, or use them on more servers than your licence covers.
- The "Eclipsion Studios" mark in the menus stays unless you buy the unbranded add-on. Removing or hiding it any other way isn't allowed (and stops the menus from drawing).
3. Licence checks
- Our products check your licence with our licence server when your server starts and about every 30 minutes. If our licence server can't be reached, your server keeps running for up to 7 days from its last successful check.
- We may check whether the owner or an operator of a licence joins the licensed server. Missing that only flags the licence for us to review; nothing switches off automatically.
- If a licence is revoked (for example for sharing it, a chargeback or a refund), the product stops working on that server from its next map change.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars. Payment is through PayPal. Taxes may be added at checkout where the law requires.
- Add-ons (unbranded, enterprise) are one-time payments added to a licence you already own.
5. Refunds
Products are digital and delivered straight away. If a product doesn't work as described and we can't fix it, contact us and we'll work it out, including a refund where that's fair. A refunded licence is revoked. Opening a PayPal dispute or chargeback without contacting us first also suspends the licence while it's resolved.
6. Updates and support
We aim to fix bugs and keep the products working with Garry's Mod updates for as long as we sell them, and to answer support requests through our community channels. Enterprise licences get priority support. We don't promise a fixed response time, or that every feature request will be built.
7. The Members page
You choose whether you appear on the public Members page. If you do, don't use a Steam name or avatar there that's offensive or impersonates someone; we may hide it.
8. No warranty, and limits
The products are provided "as is". We work to make them reliable, but we don't guarantee they'll be error-free or suit every server. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses (such as lost revenue or players), and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for the product concerned. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law that can't be removed.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell signed-in customers about significant changes. Using your account after a change means you accept it.
